Everything beginners ask us before booking a lesson or a camp in Essaouira.
We are based in Essaouira on Morocco's Atlantic coast, at Rue Abdari, a few minutes from the main beach. Essaouira is about 2h30 by road from Marrakech and is served by Essaouira-Mogador airport.
We teach three sports: kitesurfing, surfing and wingfoiling. Each one has its own lessons and prices, and all of them can also be booked as a multi-day camp with accommodation.
No. Every discipline starts with a complete-beginner session: safety briefing, equipment handling, then your first time on the water. Our instructors are IKO-certified and teach in English, French and Arabic.
Surf lessons start at €20 for a 2-hour group session, kitesurf lessons at €45 for 2 hours in a group, and wingfoil lessons at €90 for 2 hours. Semi-private and private coaching costs more but gives you far more time on the water.
Essaouira has wind almost all year. April to October is the strongest and most reliable window for kitesurfing and wingfoiling, while surfing works year-round with the best Atlantic swells from October to March.
All equipment is included in every lesson and camp — board, kite or wing, wetsuit and safety gear. You only need swimwear, sunscreen and a towel.
