Do I need experience to take surf lessons?

No experience is needed. Our surf lessons cater to all levels, from complete beginners catching their first whitewater wave to intermediate surfers refining technique in green waves.

How much do surf lessons cost?

Group lessons (max 4 students) cost €20 for 2h, €45 for 4h, €70 for 6h, €85 for 8h and €105 for 10h. Semi-private lessons range from €35 to €140, and private coaching from €55 to €180.

Which surf spot will I be taken to?

We choose the spot each morning according to swell and tide, using Essaouira's town beach for first-timers and driving to Sidi Kaouki, Tafedna or Imsouane when conditions there are better. Transport to the spot is included.

What is included in the surf lesson?

Your surfboard (soft-top for beginners), wetsuit and leash are provided, along with a certified instructor teaching in English, French or Arabic, transport to the chosen spot and a safety briefing before each session.

How many students are there per instructor?

Group surf lessons are capped at 4 students per instructor, semi-private at 2 and private lessons are one-to-one. Small groups are the main reason beginners stand up quickly.

When is the best season to surf in Essaouira?

You can surf in Essaouira all year. The most powerful Atlantic swells arrive between October and March, while summer offers smaller, gentler waves that are ideal for learning.
